Lions try to recoup Rogers bonus money

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - (05/10/07)-- A hearing in the Detroit Lions' bid to recover most of the rookie signing bonus paid to Charles Rogers has been postponed... The Saginaw native starred at Michigan State before Detroit drafted him number-two overall in 2003. But Rogers' career has been cut short by injuries and drug problems... The Lions filed a grievance in 2005, seeking to recover $10.2 million of the 14.4 million signing bonus Rogers got.

Come on now...everyone wants back their so called "Bonus money"...look it was a bonus...an adder...he got hurt playing...the Lions cut him...end of freakin story...

The drug issue...he served a four game suspension...pay him the damn thing...

I mean they go to the bonus because contracts are not guaranteed right?...so suck it up...can't have it both ways...

The Lions could get some of this cash back if they insisted Matt Millen work for free. At least than they would get what they are paying for.

Free? The Lions could put a lien on Millen's assets for the next 20 years and it still wouldn't be enough to re-pay them.
