Perhaps the best prospect to be in the draft in recent memory, Calvin Johnson, WR from Georgia Tech was selected second overall by the Detroit Lions. Now nobody knows if a potential trade is in the works with Tampa but from all accounts, Detroit may ask for too much.

Anyway, Johnson should be a premiere player in the league. Imagine trying to defend Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson. You just can't do both to the best of your ability.

Now only if they had a good QB...

Millen would've been a bigger idiot to pass on Johnson because of past failures than to pick him.

I don't like it at all. The Lions should have traded the pick, and gotten more help across the board. Their defense still sucks.
