Former Detroit Lions TE Charlie Sanders will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. According to the AP, "Sanders spent a decade with the Lions and was one of the few outstanding receivers among tight ends on his way to seven Pro Bowls." Good selection?

Heck no!...The Lions sucked a good portion of the times, Bob Tucker, Dave Parks and others caught more passes...this is a pity vote...he does not belong...

Don't agree...he was a good TE that is not Hall worthy...there was nothing great about him...he did not revolutionized the TE position, didn't catch a lot of passes and did not block for great backs (unless you are counting former Hesiman Steve Owen)...I don't see it...

He caught a lot of passes and the tight end spot is not only rated by catching passes. He was also a great blocker. He is 3rd all time in Lions history for receptions. That may not mean a lot since it's the Lions but hey he still was a great tight end.

Name the HOF tight ends that have mande it on blocking?...and Charlie was catching 35-40 passes a season when other tight ends like Bob Tucker were leading the league in reception...its a pity vote at best...

Sanders must have had someone arguing his case that was very persuasive.

Sanders was enshrined on Sunday, becoming just the 7th tight end in the Hall of Fame.

"You know, every time I get to the point where I try to explain how I feel, what the whole experience is about, I get halfway through the sentence," he said at the ceremony, "and I really can't complete the sentence because it's something I never experienced before. It's something that's very hard to put into words."
