Lions Draft Pick

What do you guys think the Lions should do with their draft pick? I think they should trade down and get a cornerback or safety.

Re: Lions Draft Pick

I think they will either go with one of the top two QBs (Russell or Quinn) or the top OLman in the draft, tackle Joe Thomas.

If you don't like those guys, who's your top QB prospect? And which way do you think the Lions should go with the pick?

Re: Lions Draft Pick

I don't think there are good QB's this year. Like I said I think they should trade down their pick and get someone for the defense.

Welcome Michigan Man. If I were them, and Quinn was available, I'd go for him. If not, I think they should trade the pick and get maybe 2 first round picks and use them on defense - like you said, maybe in the secondary for one of them.

Re: Lions Draft Pick

But Quinn is not very good. The only reason he had good numbers was he had such an easy schedule.

Forget the numbers and look at his mechanics. Very solid, and with Weis's mentoring, he's very NFL ready.

Cool Re: Lions Draft Pick

Quinn looked horrible in his bowl opportunity. I hope we are able to move down and still get Thomas plus another second rounder. Does anyone know what the status is of Jonathon Scott? He did not look good on a stretcher in the last game.

Re: Lions Draft Pick

Quinn is just going to end up being another Ryan Leaf and Andre Ware.

Re: Lions Draft Pick

Put and ounce of pressure on Brady Quinn and he looks like Troy Smith against Florida. He's not very good at all.

Re: Lions Draft Pick

Russel has the strongest arm of anyone in the NFL right now and with his big frame he can take some hits and still fine. Also he can throw the ball through the end zone on his knees at the 50 yard line. Plus, he will not have to start this year with Kitna.
