DetNews.com, MI - 5 hours ago
Oh sure, there are lots of ways to measure the Lions' futility as they prepare to play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday:
--Detroit has lost five straight for a sixth consecutive 10-loss season.
--The Lions are 23-70 in that time, one of the worst marks in history.
--Detroit was last in the NFL running the ball even before losing Kevin Jones for the season last week with a career-threatening foot injury.
As for more potential failure, consider that Brett Favre has never lost in Wisconsin to Detroit.
The last 15 times, including a playoff game in 1994, that Detroit made the short flight over Lake Michigan to play the Packers, the Lions have gone back empty-handed.
"We just hope they go 0-for-16," said Packers long snapper Rob Davis, who has been with Green Bay since 1997.
Is Detroit (2-11) cursed?
"No, I think you get what you deserve," Lions coach Rod Marinelli said. "You get what you deserve in this profession. It always works that way. When good things happen, you deserve those things also."
