| Backus May Return
According to a report from the Sporting News, Lions free agent LT Jeff Backus, a former No. 1 pick out of Michigan, may resign with the club now that they have hired Mike Martz as their offensive coordinator.
The story goes that Backus was hoping that the team would go to a guy who called more pass plays than run plays, because he considers himself better at pass protection. I didn't watch much of the Lions this year, but I know that Backus was awesome in college. I see that Detroit gave up 31 sacks -- any fans here know what kind of talent Backus has been for your team? |
