Matthew Stafford has been named the starting QB for Detroit. I really hope he gets some protection as he is mostly a pocket passer. His quick release will help in not recording a sack but unless the O line has greatly improved I think he will end up on the ground alot

He looked good in the 4th game, so IDK. I would rather them start daunte, but I guess we will see! As long as he can win atleast 1 game...I will be happy!

I'm surprised too. At the same time however, I think it gives the team more hope if you bring in the rookie to try and turn things around.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do. I still don't forsee more than 3 or 4 wins but its a start.

I think he should be thinking..."If I just hand off to Kevin Smith everything will be alright"...lol...

I think he is going to take a beating...and I think he is a rythmn QB...he needs to get into the flow of things...cause he can be a streaky passer...however...Calvin Johnson sure is a nice target to have.
