The Lions' defense will look different this year. Its been revamped by defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham. Cunningham is said to be offbeat but will bring personality to a sluggish Lions defense.
Under him, the Lions defense will be more aggressive. He is said to have developed 40 blitz packages for the team.
Of course, applying pressure and getting the sack are two different things.
No doubt, though, this is what that defense needs.
They were awful last year.

That whole team was awful I hope some significant improvement was made to the O line. I'd hate to see my boy from Georgia flat on his back all season. That has a way of sucking the confidence right out of a rookie QB.

I agree. Look at David Carr and Patrick Ramsay. They are still gunshy I am sure.
Roger Goodell says they cant be any worse, and that they have to get better this year.
I am not sure about the offense. I will have to check unless there is a Lions fan here who will enlighten us.
