| Can Orton Succeed in Denver? In 15 games with the Bears last season, Kyle Orton had 18 tds, 12 picks, 3000 passing yards, QB rating of 79.6, and a completion percentage of 59. Remember that his leading receiver in catches was the rookie running back, Matt Forte. A rookie running back should not be a qb's first option. His leading receiver in yards was Devin Hester who wasnt used as a receiver until his second season. The reason being that the Bears didnt have any other options. Hester is not yet a number one receiver. Cutler, on the other hand, had PB receiver Brandon Marshall, rookie sensation Eddie Royal and TE Tony Scheffler. He had 25 tds, 18 picks,, 4500 passing yds, QB rating of 86 and a completion percentage of 62. The only stat on that list that is much more than Ortons is the passing yards. A big reason for that was that the Denver defense put Cutler in a position to have to pass, pass, and pass again. In spite of those extra yards, he had only 7 more tds than Orton. Orton will have real receivers in Denver and with the addition of Knowshon Moreno and an overhaul of the Denver defense, Orton stands a chance to succeed in Denver.

| Re: Can Orton Succeed in Denver? I mean it's possible, he was solid with the Bears it's just the Bears are really close and they needed someone could take over games at the QB postition. Plus Denver Hester and Earl Bennatt become way better when every deep ball thrown to them isn't five yards short. But Orton isnt bad, Cutler is just better. With this recieving core I don't see why the kind of the neck beard couldn't be good in Denver

| Re: Can Orton Succeed in Denver? So does that mean you have confidence in Orton, or no confidence in Simms? I always thought Simms would kind of be like a Trent Green. He would bounce around to a few teams and mostly be on the bench, then finally get another shot after maturing physically and mentally.
