Okay, so there was talk of Ashlie Lelie, wide receiver, Denver Broncos going to the Philadelphia Eagles. It may still happen. However, Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports is reporting "Lelie has been part of speculation in player-for-player deals for the likes of Chicago Bears running back Thomas Jones and Tennessee Titans running back Chris Brown." Thoughts?

I would love the eagles to get lelie, but there really isn't a big market for him. Denver made that much apparent when they traded for walker. Now thier trying to pawn him off for a 1 or 2? Thats not gonna happen. He wont command a player such as tomas jones or chris brown either. the most thats being offered right now is a 4th rounder(chicago), and thats probably the most that will be offered. Remember, lelie has never even had 60 receptions in a season, so were not talkin a top reciever, were talkin a 2nd tier reciever who Denver is tryin to "bait" other teams into bidding for....which aint gonna happen. Lelie is losing $14,000.00 a day and I really think Denver wants to stick it to him...he's already been fined something like $280,000.00. Still the eagles need help with the slop they're gonna throw out there so I really do hope they get him.

Welcome Petedecop. I realize Lelie doesn't have the numbers to command a top tier player...but what teams are trading for is the "potential" the guy has...at worse he is good for 40-50 catches and a +15 yard per catch average...but he always has the potenial to get you a big breakout year...I think he is worth more than a 4th rounder, only other teams realize they have Denver over a barrel...Btw, who would you offer for him?...and how high would you take him for a fantasy team?

A guys only worth what the market demands for him, whether he's a proven performer or a guy with potential. Same for Lelie. No one's willing to pay a 1 or a 2 for him, so I think the first team to step up with a 3 gets Lelie. Watch the market correct, though, when the first #1 WR on a team with few other options goes down with an injury. If Lelie's still on the market if and when a Hines Ward or a Chris Chambers gets hurt, then Denver gets their 1 or 2.

Lelie is a bust, plain and simple. He'll make the spectacular catch but drop the esy one. THey guy can not run a route and Denver gave him multiple opportunites to succeed and he never took advantage. He disappears for games at a time and doesn't work hard to get open...

And now he's in Atlanta???I think they know exactly what they are going to get, they had a guy play there named Peerless Price....Same receiver...
