| Re: Broncos Select Jay Cutler With the eleventh pick in the NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected quarterback Jay Cutler of Vanderbilt. The St. Louis Rams originally had this pick, and then traded it to the Broncos as they were on the clock. The Broncos made the selection to use Cutler as their quarterback in a few years, and not necessarily to quickly replace quarterback Jake Plummer. Scouting Information on Cutler: Jay Cutler really impressed scouts at the Senior Bowl, pushing him just behind Vince Young and Matt Leinart in the quarterbacks class. He played for Vanderbilt the past four seasons, and led his team to a 15-0 season during his senior year. He threw for 2,252 yards and 31 touchdowns as a senior, and rushed for about 500 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Thing about Jay Cutler is, that QBs like Steve Young and Ron Jaworski are saying this is the kid to have in this draft...Jaworski saw every pass he threw on film and loved the kid..I expect great things...anyone high on him out there?...any Bronco fans? |
