| Mike Klis from: All Things Broncos thinks that Ashley Lelie's departure had a lot to do with the Broncos passing woes: Quote:
I don't agree. There problem is Jake Plummer who had a career year last year and was never a good pocket passer. And Cutler looked like a deer in headlights last week...And they replaced Lelie with Javon Walker, anyway. Am I wrong? |

| Re: Cultler struggles in debut I don't think you can yank a QB for a rookie and then when it turns into disaster you just plug back in the guy you originally yanked. Plummer knows now what the coaching staff thinks of him and he'll be playing while he's looking over his shoulder so to speak. Shanahan screwed the Broncos with this Cutler move and barring injury he's stuck in my view. The Broncos are dead. |

| Re: Cultler struggles in debut Good outing? Were we looking at the same Jay Cutler? I haven't seen the stats, so they might look respectible. But he looked like a deer in headlights out there, and some of the decisions he made and throws he attempted were downright embarrassing. He is so clearly not ready to be the starting QB that I think you HAVE to go back to Plummer, regardless of the potential consequences, to have any shot whatsoever of staying in the Wild Card hunt.
