| Re: Chargers at Broncos Week 11 - Sunday 11/22 Simms takes snaps with starters Updated: November 19, 2009, 7:45 PM ET ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Chris Simms' comeback is nearly complete. The backup quarterback for the Denver Broncos took the snaps with the starters again Thursday, making it increasingly likely he'll start against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday in place of Kyle Orton, who hasn't practiced since spraining his left ankle last week at Washington. Simms hasn't started a game since Sept. 24, 2006, when he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was battered so badly by the Carolina Panthers that he needed emergency surgery to remove his spleen. After losing two-thirds of his blood and spending five nights in intensive care, Simms' comeback was a long and arduous one with more speed bumps and dead ends than he'd like to remember. Chris Simms of Denver Broncos appears likely to start Sunday - ESPN

I guess Broncos wins against Patriots, Cowboys, and Bengals were fraudulent? LOL No doubt about it though, Broncos should have never lost to the Redskins. Horrible loss. Chargers start off slow every year. I knew they would finally start kicking some booty once they got their rythym going. |

Cripes, how could the Cowboys lose to the Packers, Saints barely beat the Rams otherwise? Having their quarterback go down didnt help the Broncos any. Simms was pretty bad. Quack, I read something about that if Orton didnt play Sunday he would be done in Denver. Any truth to that? I think the underlying theme of the article was that he might have been holding back a little because he came back too soon once before. Without Orton this week the Broncos cant win, especially not against the Chargers.

| Re: Chargers at Broncos Week 11 - Sunday 11/22 San Diego 32, Denver 3Actually Bette, I did not read the part of if Orton did not play he was finished...nor would I believe this either after watching Simms play yesterday. Orton did play most of the game and it did not really matter. Broncos only hope for a touchdown was fumbled away in the endzone by their heralded rookie RB Moreno. Very hard game to watch and have to wonder if the Broncos may be finished for the year? Broncos play the Giants on Thanksgiving Day and don't feel good about a victory here. I don't know what happened on that bye week a few weeks ago but the Broncos haven't won a game since. Offense has been boring and predictable. Defense has been soft since then as well. |

| Re: Chargers at Broncos Week 11 - Sunday 11/22 Team doesnt know what happened either. There was a bit of a sideline skirmish when Brandon Marshall said something to Moreno after he fumbled the ball and Moreno pushed him away. Its hard to believe this is the same team that started out so well. Where does the blame lie? |

The huge difference for me that really stands out is the 2nd half play the last month. First 6 games the Broncos would come out with a vengeance in the 2nd half both offensively and defensively. It didn't matter if they were behind. I just don't see that emotion now after halftime. Hopefully, they can get it back. Still a lot of football to play. |
