The Pittsburgh Steelers didn't get off to a strong start this season, but the defending Super Bowl champions are now playing at a high level.
Pittsburgh goes for its fifth straight victory Monday night, when it looks to snap a three-game losing streak to a Denver Broncos club trying to bounce back from its first defeat of the season.

Since opening the season 1-2, the Steelers (5-2) have gone undefeated to give themselves a legitimate shot to win a third straight AFC North title. They own the same record as Cincinnati, although the Bengals currently own the tiebreaker by virtue of a home win over Pittsburgh in Week 3.

"We've put ourselves in a good position to go into this bye, but November, December, that's where the real teams start to separate themselves,'' Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel said. "Hopefully, if we're a real team around here, we can continue this win streak."

Pittsburgh will attempt to continue its surge in Denver, where it hasn't won a regular-season game since a 34-17 victory on Oct. 14, 1990.
The Steelers, though, defeated the host Broncos by the same score in the 2005 AFC title game en route to their Super Bowl 40 victory.
Coming off its bye week, Pittsburgh looks to build off a 27-17 home win over Minnesota on Oct. 25.

I sure expect a better effort from the Broncos this week than I saw last Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. Problem is the schedule gets even tougher this week playing the Pittsburgh Steelers at home. Good teams bounce back from tough losses. I expect Orton to struggle once again if he cannot get time to throw. Broncos will have a heck of a time running the ball on this Steeler defense.

Prediction: Broncos thought the Ravens had a tough defense? Now they are taking on a hot Steeler's team with Big Ben @ QB and a defense I consider a step above the Ravens. I sure hope I am wrong about this pick.

I think this game will tell us a lot about the Broncos.
But no, I dont think they will win this one.

Good game so far score 3-0. The secondary has been the game so far, both Ike Taylor and Ty Law looking real good. Especially Ty Law, he was just picked up by the Broncos and now he is playing on short notice at high altitude and is shutting down Ward.

I say Steelers won't get used to the altitude in time, and Kyle Orton looks too on the money, Broncos win.

Only Orton's second interception of the season goes back for 6. Steelers lead 7-3 in the second with the Broncos driving.

That short passing game is not going to work all game I fear. Orton has got to throw down field once in awhile.

The opening drive Orton looked almost flawless until they got inside the 25. He was hitting Royal all the way.

Looking like a great game. Broncos defense is looking shutdown. Still very impressed with Ty Law.

After the Broncos score a defensive TD off of Big Ben's fumble, Steelers march 65 yards in 4 plays to take the lead back 14-10. Broncos defense really caved in on the last drive. See what happens.

Steelers in the red zone trying to go up 21-10, Bronco's Goodman intercepts Big Ben and saved a TD. Huge break for the Broncos!

Score remains Steelers 14 Broncos 10 early in the 4th qtr.

Steelers win 28-10 with the game ending on yet another Orton interception to give him 3 for the game. Steelers looked like Super Bowl contenders and it is back to the drawing board for the Broncos. Redskins next week may be a good place to get back on track.

Chargers move within 1 game of the Broncos in the AFC West. No panic yet as the Broncos schedule has been pretty tough so far this season. Broncos still cannot throw the ball downfield and defenses are figuring this out. They need to fix that.

Orton looked really sharp, quick passes. But yes, he has to go down the field sometimes.
That Broncos secondary looks scary.
I fell asleep again fellas, but it looked like a defensive game to me up until then.
Nice game by the Steelers.
