| Re: Patriots at Broncos I am reserving my opinion on the Broncos. This game will tell us whether they are for real or not. They earned the win against the Cowboys, but the Cowboys werent playing as well as they could. Doesnt Orton have an injured throwing hand? That was my first look at the Broncos and if Orton was playing hurt I cant really make a judgment about their offense. I dont see the Broncos winning though, regardless. A s###torm wont affect either of these teams. (Thats a naughty word up there. I dont even want to think about it)

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 I hear you Bette. Actually the weather has been so beautiful up here in the Springs lately with sunny skies and temps in the 70's. Pretty much same in Denver recently but here comes winter in the fall. Forecasters are so wrong so often up here I never know what to think. Hey, I agree, if the Broncos knock of the Patriots this weekend...they should probably be taken seriously know matter how they win. BTW Bette, I feel bad for Tony Romo who I have read on many blogs is being crucified by the fans??? Hey, they are not going to blame every loss on him are they? They should blame Jerry Jones! LOL |

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 I still dont have an answer about Orton's throwing hand. Yep, Romo is being crucified by media and fans. But so was Orton. Romo is off, but I still dont know why. The spark isnt there, the fire, whatever. Like I keep saying, flat. |

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 Hey...this thread is off course!...lay off my boy Romo...he has enough problems without TO to throw to...he don't need no highjacked thread to boot!... That said, I hope Moreno runs all over the Patriots and justifies his first round selection...here's hoping...

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 Here is an interesting aritcle today on whether the Broncos will practice indoor despite cold, wet and snowy weather: Coach says Broncos will practice outdoors in any conditions October 08, 2009 1:03 PM FRANK SCHWAB THE GAZETTE ENGLEWOOD – In recent years, when weather turned poor, the Denver Broncos drove about a mile down the street to an indoor facility for practice. The Broncos won’t need that indoor bubble anymore. Coach Josh McDaniels had his team practice outside Thursday despite wet conditions and cold temperatures, and said no matter how bad the weather gets, his team will be outside for practice. “If we play in it, I hope we practice it,” McDaniels said. “If it’s wet, damp, raining, snowing, whatever, we’re going to be outside.” Sunday’s forecast from the Weather Channel calls for rain and snow showers with a high temperature of 47 degrees. McDaniels said he thinks having a warm, dry practice isn’t conducive to being prepared for Sunday’s game. Coach says Broncos will practice outdoors in any conditions | practice, broncos, says - Sports - Colorado Springs Gazette, CO This is something that former Coach Shannahan would never do. I personally think it is a good stradegy and can give your team an advantage at home in bad weather games like we may see this Sunday. Anybody else think this is a good idea? |

Yes definitely an advantage over most teams. Not the Pats though. |

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 4 qtr update: Patriots 17-10 lead. Broncos bailed out by running into the kicker call by the refs. Great acting job by their punter. This may have blown the game for the Broncos comeback. Broncos forced another punt on the same drive...jump offsides to bail out the Patriots again. I don't know who the special teams coach is for the Broncos is...get rid of him! See what happens? |

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 Broncos tie the game 17-17 with 5+minutes left on a 98 yard drive with td catch by Brandon Marshall his second of the game. It was the longest Bronco drive since 2006. This game is going to the wire. |

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 Broncos win 20-17. Good game. Guess we know the Broncos are for real dont we? I cant believe Kyle Orton is the same quarterback who played in Chicago. I dont feel so bad about losing to the Broncos now since they beat the Pats. |

| Re: Patriots at Broncos 10/11/09 Hey, I agree Bette, I think we can say the Broncos are for real now at 5-0. What a finish in OT. Kyle Orton played the game of his life. He threw his first interception of the year but it was a hail mary to end the first half. Huge win for the Broncos and the defense in the second half shut Brady down was the key. Cowboys sure dodged a bullet as I got that game up here earlier today. Astin had a career day and maybe they will lay off Romo at least for another week anyways. I think we should be both happy today! |
