Bailey denies Cowboys' last-second TD try after Marshall snags win for Broncos




DENVER -- Champ Bailey figured the last play was his to make.
Why not? Tony Romo had been testing him all afternoon, even though he kept acing every exam.

"I welcome it. Please do. That's the only way I get a chance to make plays," said Bailey, who had eight tackles, broke up four passes and made one key interception in Denver's 17-10 win over Dallas on Sunday.

His biggest play came with a second left when he knocked away the potential tying touchdown pass from Romo to Sam Hurd on fourth-and-goal from the 2.

Yeah, that was dumb. They kept challenging Champ long after they should have figured out that wasnt a good idea.
When did Orton hurt his hand? Offense was bad.
I am really surprised to see the Broncos at 4-0.

You know Bette and Mike, I didn't think the Broncos would even win 3 or 4 games all year before the season started. What I didn't know was the Broncos were going to have the top ranked 1 defense in the AFC to this point??? I have said in many blogs if Orton would not turn the ball over that the Broncos could have a chance in many games this year but with no real offense could never win the big game!

Tony Romo had a shot in the final seconds to at least send the game into overtime and he was denied. Now, I have actually read through many Cowboy blogs this weekend and feel that Tony Romo is getting all the blame which in Texas terms is "cowφφφφ"! I think Tony is an awesome QB who doesn't have the tools he had a year ago along with a very suspect offensive line. Don't blame Tony, blame the scheme, the coaches, the receivers or whomever else. Everybody always blames the QB, I think Jerry Jones said it well: Cowboys got beat by a better team on the road.

How??? How is this team 4-0??? I can give credit where credit is due for this which are too Brandon Stokley to have the awareness to catch the tipped ball and to Brandon Marshall who is incredibly talented and too Mike Nolan who has really improved the defence but they are that good..

They benifitted from too very lucky plays and a bad schedule, if those middle games aren't against Oakland and Cleveland they don't win them. If that Cinnci DB has the awareness to just knock the ball down instead of trying to pick it off, if someone in the Cowboys secondary can make a tackle they don't win that game. I still don't buy that they are that good, plus Kyle Orton won't be able to lead them back if it's going to require more than one TD. I'm still not drinking the Kool-Aid

Hey Bears 9, I hear what you are saying and actually agree in so many ways. However, they did beat America's team, The Cowboys who many experts including myself thought they would have no chance against???

A win is a win! Broncos proved their defense is for real! Cowboys rushing attacking going into this game was ranked number 1 in the NFL! Broncos shut them down. This has been the real surprise to me all season. If Orton, can just play average and not turn the ball over, Broncos could be a threat this season. Ok, if after you all who are still unconvinced after Cowboy game, Broncos face the Patriots next week. If Broncos win this game, I don't want to hear anymore critics rest of the year!!! Fair?

Broncos defense was strong against an extremely flat Boys' offense. Does that mean the Broncos are for real? Jury is still out. I'm not drinking the koolaid just yet either but I got the glass out of the cupboard just in case.
