Turco, Stars turn away Red Wings, 3-1 (AP)

Marty Turco made 37 saves, rookies Tom Wandell and Fabian Brunnstrom scored goals and the Dallas Stars beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-1 on Friday night in their first meeting since last season's Western Conference finals. Turco, the former University of Michigan star who came into the game with a 3.41 goals-against average, made 29 saves in the final two periods.
