Lindros is a star

Lindros is expected to center Dallas' second line. He'll replace Jason Arnott, who signed with Nashville. Mike Modano anchors the Stars' top line.

that piece of info from nhl.com. It's a one year deal, no money mentioned, but obviously better than the Leafs were offering, since he went packing and looking.

Leafs will be sorry...Lindros is gonna make a run at a Cup now...and well, he could have helped you out...but you guys were too busy paying off Belfour and the rest of the old guys...

Re: Lindros is a star

You are kidding, right? You know what he got? 1.55 mill with bonuses that could bring it up to 2.5 mill.
He's played a total of 72 games in the past 2 years, and he was out most of the season with us with a wrist injury. he and his agent/dad complain about EVERY organization they've ever been with (apparently the leafs misdiagnosed his wrist injury, just like Philly did with other injuries). They have left every town they've ever been in bitter and sulky, Quebec, philly, NY, us. Thank God we got the gumption to say $750,000, take it or leave it. because who wants him using up 2.5 mill of our $$$.

1.55 million with bonuses? That... that's insane.

Lindros is way too fragile to be much of a contributor, and worse he's a clubhouse cancer. This will blow up in Dallas face.

Mentor? Yeah, right. He'll teach the young players how to get hurt, milk an injury and whine about how the team doctors misdiagnosed you. Sorry, but I really think this guy should've been out of the NHL years ago.

You are all heart Lefty...

I see an ABC movie of the week..."The Eric Lindros comeback story"...in the making...

You watch 70-85 points on that second line and the key to a successful palyoff run. I will start the Eric Lindros watch for all you nay sayers...

If he does that, it'll make the Jim Braddock story look like nothing.
