Talent Analysis
Strengths: Smith's biggest asset is his excellent puck handling ability. He is very intelligent and adept at moving the puck. Smith also has good mobility to go with his big body. He possesses an very good glove hand. Smith is a very fiery and competitive goaltender as well.
Weaknesses: Before becoming an NHL goaltender, Smith needs to work on his technique a bit. He is prone to give up poorly placed rebounds. His size is a minor problem as he has not seemed to have learned to minimize holes during movement. Also, he needs a little work on his angles.
Future
Smith is a very raw talent but does provide an interesting contrast to the other goalies in the system. He's not the most talented, perhaps, but may be the most ready.
A terrribly average signing at best...
