I still find it hard to believe that the Avs have fallen off so much the last few seasons, but the Stars should theoretically be able to take this series easily with all of the weapons Dallas has - Modano, Lehtinen, Guerin, Jokinen et. al. Anyone out there forsee a Colorado upset?

No - it is hard to imagine the avalalnche not doing well with king sakic, but he had a pretty drippy Olympics too. Dallas for sure.

DALLAS - Stars captain Mike Modano fondly remembers those incredible seven-game playoff series against Colorado in 1999 and 2000 that sent Dallas to the Stanley Cup finals.
Modano isn't as interested in talking about the Stars being knocked out in the first round by the Avalanche two years ago.
"It's ancient history," Modano said. "It is what it is. It's been two years since that series. We've been looking forward to just the chance to get back in the playoffs and kind of put something together that we think could be fun and rewarding for everybody."

I am a Modano fan...Mostly cause he is a US born player (The man is representing the States... )...so I got go with the Stars on this one...I think they can pull it off...
