Re: Stars Tie Win Record in Win

"The victory was the 51st of the season for the Stars, matching their franchise record set in 1998-99, the year Dallas won its only Stanley Cup," writes AP sports reporter Bob Baum. "Dallas improved to 12-1 in shootouts this season."

Modano didn't play, but Jussi Jokinen and Bill Guerin scored in the shootout, and Philippe Boucher and Brenden Morrow has Dallas' two goals in regulation. They've got San Jose today, plus two games with Columbus and one each with Minnesota and Detroit remaining. Think they'll wind up setting a new team win record?

Cool Re: Stars Tie Win Record with Victory

To the Stars fans out there: How has Janne Ninnema played? The trade for John Erskine has helped the Islanders. He's been good in front of the crease, something the Islanders actually have needed for a while. Ninnema was a huge disappointment. He couldn't adapt to the new rules - drawing penalty after penalty.
