Well its about time. Tippett's the winningest active NHL head coach, going 135-68-30 in four years as Stars coach. I mean, seriously, what took them so long to give him a new deal?

Good question. Sometimes I question half of the things Tom Hicks does. We shall never know the answer, but I think it's safe to safe Dave Tippett has been strong behind the bench for Dallas.

For example, the Stars have struggled all season on the power play. Tippett moves Modano to the left point. One month later, the Stars have one of the best PP in the league.
