What a difference a day made for the Dallas Stars. One day after falling flat in Anaheim against the Ducks in a 4-1 loss the Stars responded with a total team effort in beating the San Jose Sharks 3-0 at the HP Pavilion Thursday night.
The win came after a 25-minute closed door meeting following the loss in Anaheim. It was a meeting where competing was a primary focus.
"That's what we didn't do last night. Everything is about competing," Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas said during the first period intermission interview. "You can have the best defense in the world, but if you don't compete, play hard then you are not going to win many games especially when you play against teams like Anaheim and San Jose."
