Lindros happy in Dallas

because, he says, he's part of the team, not expected to be the leader, and he's playing in a city where football and basketball reign.
So basically he's happy because expectations are lower. Hm.
He says he lived his dream of being a Maple Leaf and now he's moving on (or he was pushed, whatever).
he was frustrated by his wrist injury that took him out early.
Now he's on a line with modano and Morrow.
I understand the guy needs to find some peace and happiness after a career marred with injury and bitterness but this article is depressing. Woohoo I'm much happier now that not so much is expected of me.
Anyway - let's see if he does better. Stats are in the first 13 games, he has 8 assists and 11 points, which ties him for the scoring lead.
Stars lost to vancouver last night 2-1. Number 88 scored the only Star goal.

another ex leaf finds love and happiness elsewhere...move over Eddie Belfour...man you can almost field a decent team made up of last years Leafs...

Re: Lindros happy in Dallas

If you read between the lines, though, i think these guys who grew up loving the Leafs want to end their career with the Leafs. I think he is happy in Dallas but he's got to think Wish i didn't have such a crap run with Toronto.
You know?
eddie gave us good stuff, but i think he would have liked to stay too.
He's playing with Roberts now who was very eager to come back this year but we couldn't afford him and decided he was too much of a chance to take, anyway.

Hey, you can make the American Leafs...based the team in a USA city, but let them have a variation of the Leaf logo...maybe a Ghost Buster type slash through the Leaf to signal ex-patriated Leaf...give them a bit of hope...

Re: Lindros happy in Dallas

I would find that very amusing. Plus all my favourites would be there. Yanic Perreault, Alexander Mogilny, Joe Nieuwendyk and yes maybe even Belfour. I might switch allegiances.

Cool Re: Lindros happy in Dallas

Does his mother still shadow him wherever he goes?
