Mark Cuban Wants the Age Limit Raised to 22

"Raising the minimum age is not about talent, its about maturity. Maturity matters to this league. Mature players are marketable players. Mature players generate far less strain on the league. Mature players can take care of themselves. Mature players understand the business of the NBA and how they can positively impact it to their own benefit."

I wouldn't be opposed to raising the limit, but 22? Too high. You should at least let kids declare as juniors, if not after their sophomore season.

I'd like to see them finish school, thats what they are there for. But that would be too high. Maybe juniors then.

The NBA should have the same rule as the NFL, you can leave after your junior year.

i would think that the younger NBA players would take it very seriously, being new and all.

You would be wrong though, I'm 17, not that far off from being 19 or 20 the same age as some of the younger guys. I'll never even come close to playing in the NBA, but living in Chicago I've seen guys who've been close if not at the that level and it's all fun and games to them.

You are right on bears. That's what Cuban means when he says older players understand its a business. Its not just fun and games. And that they can take care of themselves better.
