| Vanderjagt ready to kick again for Cowboys IRVING - Kicker Mike Vanderjagt is expected to get his first work on kickoff duty for the Cowboys tonight against Minnesota. Vanderjagt has missed the past two preseason games because of a sore groin but will see his first action at Texas Stadium. Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said Vanderjagt will handle the team's first kickoff and will attempt a couple of field goals if within range. Vanderjagt, the most accurate kicker in NFL history, has not kicked off regularly since 2003 with the Indianapolis Colts, but Parcells doesn't want to use a roster spot for a kickoff specialist. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones echoed the coach's thoughts, saying this week that the plan is not to keep a specialist on the 53-man roster for the season opener Sept. 10 at Jacksonville. FFLiveWire: Fantasy Football News, Community, Stats and much more... after they lost so many by 3 points or less last year it seems they better hope Vanderjagt is good to go
