Former Dallas quarterback Quincy Carter says he feels free to speak out now about his release from the Dallas Cowboys.
Carter says the team lied about why they let him go and used one failed drug test against him and never let him defend himself.
Carter claims there is a lost tape where Jerry Jones says he's not releasing him because of his play. He says Jones pulled a "billionaire power play" and had the NFL lose the tape. Carter says if he had not been released he would have led the team to success and Tony Romo wouldnt even be there.
Coach Bill Parcells said at the time that the reason he was released was not limited to but included his drug use.
Carter has subsequently failed more drug tests and been arrested on drunk driving and drug charges.
He was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
His release is currently under arbitration with the NFLPA.
