This is no great shock. Once they brought in some guy named Matt Baker and he took all of Henson's practice snaps, was there any doubt? What a disaster this guy's career has turned out to be.

Yeah i seen the writing on the wall on Henson a coupla week's ago Pundit.Some team is interesting aquiring Henson according to Parcell's press-conf.

Some player's got cut today also and we traded Shanle to the saint' for an un conditional draft pick from what i'm hearing. probably a 6th or 7th pick.

Traded Shanle to the Saints. The following players were waived .. Peterman, Butler, Jansen, Saldi and Drew Henson will not be on our roster this year. He hasn’t been waived, but he won’t be on our team.

Why?
He just didn’t show me enough.

I can’t discuss what we’re doing. I will tell you he won’t be on our roster. That’s all you need to know.

What about the cap number?
I won’t keep players that I don’t think can play.

We tried very diligiently with this guy, but I can’t comment much because this is a limbo situation and there are some moving parts here.

What about #3 QB? Keeping Baker?
We’ll see. We might bring in a veteran. Maybe go with 2 QB’s.

Peterman?
He was just beat out by Proctor. He’s a good kid that works hard and is tough, but I just think Proctor is better.

Wow! ESPN is saying the Cowboy's got a 4th round pick for Shanle!

Hope it's legit.Not bad for a player who going to cut bait anyway.


*Update* Nick Eatman's reporting it's a 7th round pick...thought that a 4th was a little high for Shanle.

Too bad, I thought Henson had worked on his game in Eurpoe this year...I had high hopes for the guy.

Henson stunk. He was another one of Jerry Jones' pet projects, that like the others, didn't work--like Quincy Carter and Chad Hutchinson. This team would be much better off if Jones would just sign the checks and handle the business end and stay out of the player personell decisions.

Carter was a big stretch...Hutchinson and Henson were projects form the start, but what good is a project if you do not develop him?
