Emmitt Smith's rushing record

Do you guys see anyone breaking Emmitt Smith's career NFL rushing record of 18,355 yards any time soon? The closest active players - Curtis Martin, Marshall Faulk, Corey Dillon and Edgerrin James - probably don't have enough years left in them to get close enough. My money would be on someone like Shawn Alexander (7,817 yards) or LaDanian Tomlinson (7,361 yards). Sure, they're not even halfway there yet, but they have a lot of time left to make up the difference, so long as they stay healthy. What do you think?

Re: Emmitt Smith's rushing record

Good point; I think I even made the distinction elsewhere, Trashed. Guess I had a case of cerebral flatulence when I started this thread, eh? So, of the players who ARE actually active, do any of them have what it takes to break Emmitt's record?
