How long until the T.O. meltdown?

How long before new Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens goes off? That question is posed by Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports in his annual "NFC's Burning Questions" feature. The answer? "There shouldn't be a meltdown any time soon, but make no mistake, there will be drama. Terrell Owens can't help himself. Whether it's a sideline rant caught on camera or a subtle dig at Drew Bledsoe, he will do something to draw attention... In the short term, Owens' existence in Dallas should be a mixture of good and bad, with tense moments combined with major offensive dividends." That sound about right to you guys?

The first time Bledsoe overthrows him, or throws to the flat to escape being Kosar-ed.

Welcome NMB...and just cause Philly could show him the love...don't mean he will act up in Big D... ...come on now. I heard the Cowboys hired two full time assistants who's sole job it is to show TO some love...

BTW, who is replacing TO in Philly?...How is Reggie Brown coming around these days?

Hey he got what he deserved in Philly.

That said let me say that I have been a Cowboy's fan since before the team's first Super Bowl appearance. Don't know what's going on in Philly.

Re: How long until the T.O. meltdown?

So he doesn't make it out of training camp, eh, NMB? Ha ha! I guess I'm slightly more forgiving... I'd give him to about week 4 or so. Another question: when the meltdown happens, who will be the target? Bledsoe? Parcells? The offensive coordinator? Jerry Jones?

My mistake my man...your location said PA....so I made a bad assumption. Still, not much of a TO fan are you?...Don't think he is going to be up there with Bob Hayes, drew Pearson and Michael Irvin when its all said and done huh?

Re: How long until the T.O. meltdown?

Parcells' has the ability to incorporate several different types of characters and player's into his team's and has been successful. But i have to admit Owen's should prove to be Bill's biggest challenge.

History has shown that Terrell should do well his first year with a new club.If any one can keep T.O in check it's Bill Parcell's.

Jerry Jones structured Owens's contract so that it can be a one-year, two-year or three-year deal, depending on how things work out. He also gave Owens enough money, one would think, to keep him content. Owens receives $10 million in the first year of the deal, and $25 million over three seasons if he stays around that long.

T.O will alway's display displeasure at not getting the ball enough, that part of his personality and competitiveness,is alway's gonna be withthin him,i don't think it's something he can turn off and on like a light switch. The level at which he take's his fit's and antic's will be the key to watch.

No I am not a TO fan. For all his talent, I find him to be one of the most disruptive players to come along.

As far as being up there with Bob Hayes, Drew Pearson and Michael Irvin, he has the abilities to do so. Does he have the teamwork mentality required is another question. His history isn't looking good.

He gets them a ring and its all forgiven...Hayes did time for drugs...Irvin's personal history is even worse...but its all forgiven when you get the ring...

Welcome to GoTeams Go NMB. He might melt down after game 1. The Boys play on the road in Jacksonville in the opening game. Jacksonville has a great defense and it will be the first real game the new offensive line will be together. If Dallas gets blown out and TO doesn't see the ball much because Bledsoe is on his back the whole game, he might lose it then.
