Angry What about the Cowboys

Ok I'm not going to lie I have liked the cowboys for probably the last 10 years. But honestly I am tired of always hearing about how bad the cowboys are. When are we going to see the "boys" in the superbowl again? Is it going to be another 10 years before the "boys" see the big game or will it be sooner? All I can say is can someone please help my boys?

Come on now Ambrose...we have us a TO...one bonafide touchdown receiving machine...a few decent runners with 1,000 yard potential...if he jsut shore up the Offensive Line we should do well...the future of the QB position worries me though.

Re: What about the Cowboys

Hey, but you guys got Drew Henson, right? <snicker>

They'll draft somebody next year. Just hope by then it isn't too late for Bledsoe to mentor him.

Re: What about the Cowboys

I think that we could have tried harder for a better quarterback....don't get m wrong bledsoe is fine but....he is....do I dare say it....a little to seasoned for my likings....lol well anyway....we will have to see what happens...hopefully we didn't dig ourselves deeper with our lack of QB future

Gee, I tell you ...a guy get a little over thirty and he is done for... ...maybe Drew Henson coming back from Europe will be next in line.

Re: What about the Cowboys

Drew started out decent last year till Flozell went down and we had to keep tight-end's and back's in the back-field to help out tucker and r.t rookie Petitti...they say Petitti has turned a lot of fat into muscle and has really worked hard in the off-season, i hope he's working on his foot-work he was getting beat pretty good by speed rusher's in the latter part of the year.I think Petitti will improve his game this year if not that's why we picked up Fabini at least we will have depth and option's on the o-line unlike last year.I've heard that the center Al Johnson's bulked up and added 17 teen pound's to help anchor the middle of the line.

Drew should have more time Owen's automatically draw's double coverage and Terry Glenn won't be easy to cover either..they should be more one on one match up's now we have a threat like Owen's that will be running through the opponent's secondary.Bledsoe given the time can shred defense's apart..team's won't be so blitz happy against our offense after Bledsoe burn's them with T.O/Glenn/ Witten/ Fasano i think we'll add another dimension to the Cowboy's red-zone option's and the running game should also improve that extra defender on defense won't be playing in the box as much as last year...and hopefully JJ and BARBER should have more hole's to run through.

Romo i think will be the second q.b but he'll have to beat out Henson in camp and earn it. Parcell's said he's going to give Tony alot of play time in the preseason game's we'll see what he can do and hopefully get some kind of feel at what kind of ability him or Henson can do at the next level even if it's just preseason competition. I just have'nt seen enough to make an evaluation either way. NFL Europe is a good place to get some training for young player's to gain experience..has it helped Henson improve any? I guess the coach and assistant's will find out come camp time.

Cool Re: What about the Cowboys

I think the Cowboys have as good a chance as anyone to win the entire NFC. They're improved all over the place. The big question is whether their O-Line can hold up.

Pretty sure Winston Justice of USC was still on the board.

I know Parcels liked the Carpenter kid...but was it worth a pass of a good O-line

Re: What about the Cowboys

Yeah Parcell's is a fanatic about linebacker's and tight-end's. But i do think Carpenter will make a nice book-end opposite of Ware.Bobby can also rush the q.b and play's the run well.

Winston Justice went off the board to the "Eagle's" early in the 2nd round at # 7. I liked Brodrick Bunkley and Justice, Philadelphia ended up with both player's!
