| Cowboys preseason opener at San Diego The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Chargers last night, 31-17. There were some good things that I saw, and there were some bad things.
First team offense looked like the Pro Bowlers that they are. First drive a few plays and touchdown. It took Phillip Rivers and the Chargers two drives before they scored and after that it was Chargers all the way scorewise.
Dallas had more total yards than the Chargers.
Nate Kaeding kicked a 53 yard field goal.
The Chargers have found their replacement for M. Turner in Darren Sproles, a 4 year player out Kansas State. He's 5-6 and weighs 181 lbs. but he can run.
Dallas special teams was bad, really bad. Punt and kick returners fumbled the ball and coverage sucked.
Dallas had 3 pass interference penalties by the third quarter for a whoppin 80 yards.
Felix Jones did very well and Mike Jenkins made some plays.
Adam Jones didnt return any kicks or punts because Phillips said they know what he can do there. But he definitely showed some rust in defense.
Tashard Choice made a good claim for a spot on the roster as a running back.
The Cowboys dont appear to have the depth everyone thought they had. The Cowboy reserves struggled.
The Cowboys go to Denver to practice with the Broncos before they play them in the preseason.
