Adam Jones can play in the preseason for the Cowboys, and Jerry Jones is treading lightly about Adam's status. He isn't speculating on when he would hear from Goodell. It could be as late as the week of the Cowboys'
September 7 opener against Cleveland.
Rookie CB Mike Jenkins will likely start at the left corner against the Chargers in place of the injured Newman, and Jones will be on the right side behind starter Anthony Henry.
Jones hasn't played since the Titans season finale on December 31, 2006.

That's a long time to be off the field and Jones will have some rust on him. What should help though, is that he has been working off Terrell Owens in camp. As Jones put it, that's one of the best.

I believe he will get reinstated, but I agree with Goodell in making him wait. Cant give in too quickly or too easily. I believe he will stay out of trouble this year but all bets are off by next off season.
Goodell will reinstate him. There is no way he is going to buck one of the most powerful owners in the NFL.
Apparently Jerry Jones is content to play the waiting game.

No, but what he does approve of is players who get their act together and stay out of trouble. So far Adam Jones has done so and Goodell will reinstate him.

Thats true about every CB getting beat once in a while, but he was a little rusty that night on defense. Its been three years since he played in the NFL. I have every confidence he will get reinstated and get the rust out.
If he doesnt (get the rust out) I have a bottle of Iron Out I can lend him.
