With the Cowboys only 5 days from their preseason opener, there are five players who are fighting for roster spots and have made an impact in training camp:
- Evans Oglesby CB There are 9 corners on the team and the Boys might keep six. Oglesby has made interceptions, deflected passes with his long arms, and is good against the run.
- Joe Berger OL Berger has bulked up, adding muscle and has improved his techniques. He is fighting for a back-up spot.
- Alonzo Coleman RB Last year an ankle injury kept him off the active roster but kept on the practice squad. Tashard Choice is projected as the No.3 back but Phillips says nothing is settled yet.
- Dowayne Davis S He has done a good job in the run support and Phillips is impressed with Davis and said he could be on special teams
- Tearrius George LB He missed 4 practices because of injury but has come back and had some good practices.
Do you have any opinions on who will make or not and for what reasons?
