Cool Re: Terrell Owens' in Dallas

(Article 2) I don't know that a team possessing Owens will ever win a Super Bowl, for the simple fact that he is always going to be causing some sort of distraction. With that said, though, there isn't a better fit for the 33-year-old perennial Pro-Bowler than his current situation. After all, there isn't another organization in football where the head coach and owner both have larger egos.

Three articles here offering different snipets of T.O. in Cowboy country and his "honeymoon state with the team"...I like the take above...I really think Parcel and Jones can cancel out T.O...few people on the planet with bigger egos than those two.

(article 1) "I'm here with a great coach, a great team, a great owner," Owens said. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity that I can make to help this team win. That's why they brought me in here."
Then he went about trying to prove it.
Wearing the star logo he once trashed, his fast-selling No. 81 jersey and blue tights that made him easily identifiable, Owens caught every pass thrown his way except one in a nearly two-hour practice - his first full-squad workout since being banished by the Philadelphia Eagles almost exactly seven months before.

The man is saying the right things...so far... ...When will the "love bubble burst?"

Yeah. But did you hear what he said later to the press? I am who I am and I can’t allow people to change who I am. I think I’ve been successful on the football field being who I am so I don’t care…”

Saying the right things didn't last too long.

I think he intends to be. But as he said, he is who he is. In the first game that they lose and he doesn't get the ball thrown his way enough, do you really think he's going to be able to contain himself?

Boy, DK, 10 years ago and I would've agreed with you. But Parcells just doesn't seem as intimdating these days. He seems more cranky and burnt out than anything. I really wonder if the Tuna circa 2006 can really handle T.O.

I know this troubles you, but I consulted the magic eight ball and it answered..."You can count on it"...and we all know the Magic eight ball can't be wrong.

Re: Terrell Owens' in Dallas

I would advise you to listen to Gotham Dark Knight's Magic 8 Ball. Gotham Dark Knight is a truthful and honest member of this forum, and I am sure that I can trust his eight ball as much as him.

I am sure that Terrell Owens will fit in fine. He always has no matter how much he mouths off about the team. I can guarantee that he will get into at least one argument with a player, but that is just the downside of having T.O. on your team. He is a great reciever, but harmful for team chemistry. Overall, I am predicting a decent year for Owens in the "Lone Star" State.

Could you imagine Terrell Owens dancing to country music in a cowboy outfit?

See there...the Magic 8 ball never lies...Let me ask it a simple question..."When will MJHMarc hit his 714th post?"....***Shake, Shake***
and the answer is ..."Ask Again later"

And I'm the president of the United States! It's a shame, all that talent that T.O. has and he has to ruin it by running his mouth all the time. Guess that's why I like Marvin Harrison better! Marvin's good, he knows he's good, and anybody that watches football knows he's good, and he doesn't have to run his mouth.

Yes, but Marvin is not a Cowboy...and TO is...so lay off my man...give him some space now...he is headed for the Pro Bowl this year...

side note: Let me ask my magic 8 ball if you will be president of the USA ...***shake, shake***...answer: "The future remains unclear"

I will give T.O. some credit, he IS one of the best wide receivers in the NFL! Unfortunately his mouth ruins it.

side note: If I'm gonna be the President, this country is in a whole lotta trouble!

Re: Terrell Owens' in Dallas

On the field, Owen's has few equals. He’s one of the most productive receivers in league history (4th all-time in TD receptions), keeps himself in impeccable shape, and when motivated is virtually unstoppable. His talent and work ethic has never been a problem the guy is a workout warrior.Jerry Jone's has given Terrell good money upfront, 10 mill... one of Owen's main gripe's when he was employed with the eagles. Only thing i foresee being a problem is the amount of ball's or lack thereof thrown his direction...Parcell's has already warned T.O that he's not going to see 100 ball's in the Cowboys offensive system.Despite his off-field issues, he's still among the top offensive threats in the game.

Welcome Werewolfe94...glad to see a TO loving Cowboy fan on this site. What kind of numbers do you think TO will put up this year?
