Quarterback Tony Romo needs to prove he can win when it really counts.
Two years ago he botched the field goal hold in Seattle and the Cowboys lost, and last year he couldnt get it done against the Giants.
Gil Lebretor of Fort Worth Star-Telegram notes that in the last 3 years Romo was starting at Eastern Illinois his team lost each of its 3 first-round games in Division 1-AAA playoffs.
Said Lebretor, "Superman has kryptonite, Romo has the playoffs."

I think they're being way too hard on Romo. I mean how many playoff games has he flopped in? He'll win that first playoff game this year. He seems of the mentality not to let the media burden him with this stuff which is crucial for any top notch athlete. Then again he's Jessica Simpson's boyfriend so as long as he's not being indited for murder i'm guessing everything is cool in his life!

The media are a bunch of idiots. They want to say Romo's got a history of flopping in the playoffs, and what's the first thing they point to? A botched snap on a special teams play that a starting quarterback really shouldn't be in the game for in the first place. That has nothing to do with his performance as a passer or a team leader and I think it's moronic that they keep using that, in large part, to judge his playoff aptitude as a QB.

Good points from both Dusty and Lefty. Saves me from having to make them. Dont forget that last year was Romo's first full year as a starter. And college has nothing to do with his pro career.
And he didnt lose those games by himself exactly. Mr. Crayton and Mr. Williams had something to do with the last one. TO was a little emotional, but he was absolutely right, they lost as a team.
Tony said he is doing the same things he always did. Takes his girlfriend out to dinner(of course it wasnt Jessica back then) plays golf, soccer, and enjoys his life. Its just that now its in the media's attention.
He's not a thug, he's not punching his girlfriend in the face, he's not doing any drugs. The monkey on his back is all in the media's mind. (If they have one)
