Cowboys signed FS Ken Hamlin to a six-year, $39 million contract. The deal contains $15 million guaranteed, including a $9 million signing bonus.
Hamlin, 27, joined Dallas last spring on a relatively cheap one-year deal and capitalized. He had a career-high five picks, 15 breakups, and made his first Pro Bowl. Hamlin plays behind a stingy front seven and mans the deep middle, making him a mediocre pick in tackle-heavy IDP leagues, but this is a good signing for Dallas. The core of their secondary is locked up long term.
