Owner Jerry Jones said free agent linebacker Zach Thomas could have the biggest impact of all the Cowboys’ newcomers. The team believes Thomas is an upgrade at inside linebacker over the departed Akin Ayodele, who, according to Cowboys insiders, was solid but left a lot of plays on the field.

He had migraines for years, but had surgery finally to correct it. I didnt think there was anything else wrong. What do you know that I dont?

Agree.... He was a great player and very pshyical but his body has been abused and it won't stand up for the long season. Zach was one of the most popular players here in Miami for the past 10 years and sadly we all here knew it was time for him to hang it up.... he decided against that so we will see who is right

He's a got a really bad back, a lot of concussions and some knee problems all from playing over 10 years of one of the most physical positions in football. Loco4Pablo is correct that Zach can't make it through a full NFL season anymore. He was a great player though that's for sure.
