Glenn's knee a bigger issue than Cowboys said

The Dallas Cowboys didnt want Terry Glenn to participate in team workouts.
Now Glenn says they dont want to be on the hook either if he hurts his knee again.
Glenn says the Cowboys have asked him to sign a $500,000 injury settlement. This would free Dallas of any obligation to pay glenn if he cannot play this season because of his knee.
Glenn is due to make $1.74 million this season.

ESPN - Knee a big issue? Glenn says Cowboys want injury settlement signed - NFL

The Cowboys appeared enthusiastic about Glenn's returned to health. They said at first they didnt want him in workouts so as to keep his knee as healthy or some such story.
It seems they arent as sure as they appeared. I have read rumors about him being traded or cut after June 2.
And now this. It is assumed if he doesnt sign the agreement, then he wont be allowed to practice.
This whole thing has a really bad smell to it.

He's on his last legs (pardon the expression), and I for one can't blame the Cowboys for wanting a little insurance because of his condition.

I understand what you are saying but I dont agree at all.
Glenn got hurt in training camp last year and missed the whole year except the last game, which was a bad one for him and the Cowboys. They needed that other threat bad. Crayton, in spite of what Goth will say, is still a work in progress. Then TO got hurt and they were really in trouble. They wanted Glenn back bad, and Glenn wanted back bad. Did the Cowboys push him harder than they should have? I dont know but I do know all they talked about was Glenn. And this spring they are saying he's good, his knee is rehabbed, etc, etc, Now they want him to sign off? for that amount when his salary will be over a million? and talk is he is going to get cut?
Bottom line--Terry Glenn is getting the shaft.
