| Ellis upset with limited role in practice LB Greg Ellis missed the first 2 days of OTAs this week aaand doesnt plan on coming back until he gets more reps. Last week he was told some of his practice time would be reduced to give Anthony Spencer more time on the field. Phillips says Ellis remains the starter but a source says Ellis doesnt trust the team's motives. Owner Jerry Jones downplayed his absence saying OTAs are voluntary. Last year it was because he was moved from DE to outside linebacker and he thought the team was forcing him out. It wasnt until they reworked his contract that he came back to play. I like Greg Ellis, I really do. But he is getting up there in years and has suffered a serious tendon injury in '06. Unfortunately the handwriting is on the wall I think. And no, I wouldnt trust the team's motives either.
