Tony Romo paid $9000 to withdraw from the Colonial Pro-Am so he wouldnt miss a team OTA. He had agreed to play in the Colonial Pro-Am before he knew that there would be a schedule conflict with what is essentially a 7 on 7 drill. He is committed to be the best qb that he can be and to be thought of as a team leader and that is why he pulled the plug on the golf. It cost him $9000 because that is the price some one paid in an auction to play with Romo in the Pro Am. The money is targeted for Cook Children's Hospital. He wrote the guy a check.

Boy, that's a toughie. On the one hand, he should be applauded for the dedication. On the other, you know he would've liked to have competed in the tournament and made good on the charity deal. They way he handled it was probably the best way he could have handled it, outside of the Cowboys coming out and insisting that he play the golf event.
