| Williams reaffirms commitment to Cowboys Roy Williams, safety, met with 2 defensive coaches, DC Brian Stewart and safeties coach Brett Maxie in a meeting requested by the coaches. They were concerned because Williams had missed two teaching sessions while he worked on a charity event in his name benefiting single mothers. The coaches requested the meeting, which lasted 90 minutes, after the six-year veteran missed two days of teaching sessions at Valley Ranch last week while he worked on plans for a charity event in his name benefiting single mothers. The coaches also were concerned about comments defensive end Greg Ellis made about Williams during a radio interview last week. Ellis told Sirius NFL Radio that Williams told him at last year's training camp that he wasn't comfortable with his role in coach Wade Phillips' version of the 3-4 defense. Ellis also said Williams has been isolating himself from teammates by conducting his workouts at Valley Ranch early in the morning. But Williams told the Dallas Morning News that the meeting with Stewart and Maxie lifted his spirits and made him determined to find a comfort level in the defense. Williams reaffirms commitment to Cowboys - Sports Rumors - NFL - Yahoo! Sports I read the comments Greg Ellis had made about how Williams felt last year. This raises my spirits also.
