| Is this Wade Phillips last hurrah? Bill Parcells rebuilt the Dallas Cowboys. He took a team of 5-11 seasons and turned them around but couldnt quite get them over the hurdle of the playoffs. Enter Wade Phillips. He runs a 3-4 defense and is a manager of people. He believes in getting the right people and letting them do their job. He treated the players as grown men and emphasized family as a team. The Cowboys started to have fun again and for awhile it paid off. Phillips insisted the season was a success, and that they were the better team but just lost that day in the playoffs. He kept pointing out the 13-3 record. But the Cowboys had lost their swagger. They lost their ability for those quick hard punches on offense that threw opponents off balance. Penalties abounded for lack of discipline and came at the worst of times. So is this Phillips last chance? Is this Wade Phillips’ last*hurrah? - Blogging The Boys Yes, yes and yes again. Garrett is in the wings getting ready and there was a reason Jerry Jones paid to keep him. Like Parcells, I think Phillips did what they need to do. Now the Boys need a coach that is somewhere in between Tuna and Camp Cupcake.
