Cowboys keep negotiating rights, Barber and Canty

With the passing of Friday's deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with other clubs, the Cowboys retained negotiating rights with running back Marion Barber and defensive end Chris Canty.
The team tendered a one-year, $2.562 million offer to Barber and a one-year, $2.017 million offer to Canty, which the players are free to sign at any time. According to sources, talks on a long-term deal between the Cowboys and Barber remain far from a resolution.

Well, at least the Boys have gotten something right. We need both these guys.

Barber especially. He's one of those guys I can see becoming something really special, now that he's the featured back.

I think I disagree. I don't know if he can handle being the main RB. He is really good at how Dallas has been using him, but he always had somebody to share the load.

That part bothers me also. We dont know if he can do it alone.
