Newman doesnt need money, but wants to be paid

Terence Newman has one year left on his contract and is already thinking about a new year. He says he doesnt need the 8 figure signing bonus, but wants to get paid it.
If this sounds like a contradiction, it isnt. He wants the recognition of being one of the top five cornerbacks in the league. To get the recognition, he wants to be paid like one.
