| Why another linebacker? How many Cowboy linebackers does it take to--you fill in the rest. Dallas has become an avid collector of linebackers of late. The Boys already have DeMarcus Ware, Greg Ellis, Bobby Carpenter, Anthony Spencer, Kevin Burnett, Bradie James, and Akin Ayodele. So why did they need a 34 year old undersized linebacker who only played 5 games last year because of head injuries? One reason might be that Romo said the Dolphins defense was hard to play against.( Romo had a 74.1 QB rating in the first half) Part of that was because Thomas still had the ability to play the pass from his middle linebacker position and still had the speed to get under those throws down the middle.DallasCowboys.com - News So maybe this explains why they are taking a chance on Thomas. But who is going to go?
