Keeping up with Jones

Today is Jerry Jones' 19th anniversary as the Dallas Cowboys' owner and general manager.
With a team that won the most games in the NFC in 2007 and beat the Super Bowl champion New York Giants twice in the regular season – but lost to them in the playoffs – Jones feels the Cowboys are capable of bringing him his fourth Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Jerry offered some thoughts on the Cowboys.
He said he was proud of the 2007 season even with the loss to New York in the playoffs. He expects the Boys to bounce back in '08 with a better Romo and by putting more wow in the 3rd best offense in the league.
He said they need to look at a running back but not necessarily through the draft. He expects Terry Glenn to return and play without surgery. Leonard Davis is a viable option at left tackle, and he believes Roy Williams will play smarter and harder this year.

Good luck with that last one Jerry. I am beginning to think maybe you will have to give up on that guy pretty soon. Anyone else have different thoughts on the Boys?

Re: Keeping up with Jones

I think this team has the talent to do great things, but they need to prove it.

I think anything less than getting to the Super Bowl this year is unacceptable.

And Roy Williams is on his last legs with me. If I see one more Horse Collar from him, I want to see him on the bench. It's time to sign or draft someone that can fill his shoes. I know they have other needs, but his penalties, and now his suspension, leave the team vulnerable.

And I won't even get into his pass coverage, since he doesn't have any to speak of.
