| Signs of the off-season Off season signs are everywhere. There's the combine, offers for restricted free agents, and free agency itself. But there are more signs of offseason. As soon as a veteran player is released for whatever reason, the Cowboys always show up on a lengthy list of interested teams. As soon as a veteran player is asked where he'd like to play, the Cowboys always are a desired destination. As soon as a player demands a trade, usually inspired by a suddenly unfriendly contract and thirst for a new signing bonus, the Cowboys seemingly always are identified as a potential player. Happens every year. To me, this is truly why the Cowboys are "America's Team." Everyone wants to come here - or so they say. Man, you'd think the Statue of Liberty was stuck out here in the Trinity River: Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free . . . . DallasCowboys.com - News haha I think Mick Spagnola is running out of things to write. This is a little much even for a Cowboy homer.
