Cowboys have positive playoff outlook

As we roll into yet another year, the Cowboys are getting ready for yet another type of season. Preseason long gone. The regular season is now in the books as well.
It's time for the postseason, although the Cowboys won't be jumping right into the fire, getting that much-needed bye week before their first game in the divisional round.
"We had a tremendous year," head coach Wade Phillips said. "We accomplished all of our goals. But it's a new season now. We're looking forward to the playoffs."

But despite the Cowboys' ugly 27-6 loss to the Redskins Sunday in Washington, Phillips isn't ready to discount his team's success throughout the entire season.
In fact, he not only dismissed Sunday's loss in which he took the blame for his team failing to match the Redskins' intensity, but said he's not worried about the Cowboys going 2-2 in the final month of the season.
No, the only thing on Phillips' mind is getting ready for his next opponent.

Re: Cowboys have positive playoff outlook

I'm also pretty optimistic about thier post season chances. I think they mostly shot themselves in the foot, other than the Washington game, with the late season struggles.

I can't wait for the first game to get here!

Re: Cowboys have positive playoff outlook

I'm not very optimistic at all. Hopeful, but not optimistic. There's always a chance they will get back to playing the way they were earlier. And it sounds like they will have most of their players healthy again. If they get thru the first round, by the time the second comes, there's a very good chance TO will be back.
A healthy defense for once, offense back to health also, and TO and Glenn and Witten on the same field. Now that would be exciting.
