| Eagles resigned to playing spoiler in Dallas With their postseason hopes now all but dashed, the Philadelphia Eagles will attempt to spoil the Dallas Cowboys' goals of seizing home field advantage throughout this year's NFC Playoffs when the bitter divisional rivals square off this Sunday in a late-season showdown from Texas Stadium. Most believed coming into this season that this December matchup would decide the NFC East champion. While the implications aren't nearly as large as expected, this still should be an exciting and competitive game between two teams with no love loss between them. Expect the Eagles to battle hard despite their playoff fate having been virtually sealed, and McNabb and Westbrook to find some soft spots in a Dallas defense that has shown to be vulnerable at times. Still, the Cowboys have too much firepower on the offensive side for Philadelphia to handle, and the Eagles don't make enough momentum-changing plays on defense to slow their rival down. Look for another close call for the Cowboys, as well as another hard-to-swallow defeat that has been a common theme throughout a trying season for the Eagles. Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Cowboys 27, Eagles 23 http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=/nfl/news/ABN4117402.htm
